Now...wouldn't you like to be able to say that is all you paid for your children's supplies? Well, YOU can! You need to be able to take some time (which of course = money saved) and hit a few stores early in the week. Sunday is best, but we all have some plans or other during that day.
TIPS
*Look at all ads including Office Max, Office Depot, Walgreens, CVS, Target, Walmart, and Staples. Oh...even Menards! You never know who is offering those items for FREE, pennies, or just plain CHEAP!
* Plan your trips so that you can hit several of these stores in ONE "round" trip so that you are not wasting your time or gas.
*MAX out on the deals as you know that they kids are going to need these items again in the middle of the school year. You can also donate to your classroom teacher for those kids who can't afford supplies.
*Go in JUST for the "loss leaders" or things that are CHEAP or FREE and get OUT! Don't look around...you are wasting your time.
*See if there are any printable coupons out there for school supplies. If there are, I will be getting them on my blog. You can always check out the coupons.com spot to the left weekly as the coupons do change. Here are some HOT off the press school supply coupons for Target, but remember...you can price match. Hmmm I see FREE Bic products in my future! LINK
*If you are a fan of Target, you can price match other places ads at Target now. So if Crayola crayons are advertised at Walmart for .25 and Target has the identical item, you take in your entire Walmart ad to Customer Service and ask to price match.
*REUSE items from last year. Kids don't need everything to be new each year. So see what you still may have from last year!
*Follow the school list if you are grabbing it all at once or even picking it up a couple of items at a time! When teachers say they want plain folders, then get just the plain folders. Teachers do this for a reason.
*Clothing~Check out Goodwill, Ebay, Craigslist, Plato's Closet, Kid's Rack (Champlin), etc for school clothes. Believe it or not, but you can get some good deals. You can also head to Kohls or Kohls.com and give them your email addy for a FREE $5 off anything coupon that comes in your email! Sign up also for your child's favorite store! Then be on the lookout for clearance of summer items.

It is that time of year again that the toys are going on clearance at Target. Now granted there aren't many coupons or cupons(new spelling for some LOL) for toys, but it is time to stock up for fall birthdays and Christmas presents.
Right now the toys at Target are 30-50% off original prices, but soon you will see them down to 75% off. Want to know when? So you go out and purchase the item for the rebate and RIGHT after you get everything put away, you need to fill out the form. Many forms will want you to send along the receipt and the UPC of the product. Get an envelope and get those items in there ASAP. Fill out the form...add a stamp...send in the mail. In about 6-8 weeks you will get a rebate check in the mail for the item that you bought. Not bad for the cost of a stamp!

CVS Photo Book easy steps FREE

I took one that I did before and one that I just did today. As you can see, the first pic in the book can vary in size. You get to choose the first page AFTER you are done choosing the other pics for the album. As I said before...CHOOSE MORE THAN YOU MAY THINK! You can always delete, but you can NOT add pics once you started or you have to start over.
Choose a background first. You can choose one kind or a group of them. You will have the option to change the background once you are in there, BUT only to the group that you first chose (as far as I know). There are many groups and in some of them, there are up to 5 different kind.
The computer will put on the pictures on the pages, but DON"T freak out. You can move them around.
Look on the right hand side and there should be a edit button. Click on it and about 10 new buttons pop up! Here is where the fun begins.
IF you don't like where a pic is on the album, find the "move, edit, delete" button (not exact wording). A new side screen will pop up and you move a pic to the gray box. Move to the page that you want and drag it to the page that you want. You can only put ONE pic in that gray box at a time.
Once you get back to the edit page with the 10 buttons, you can shuffle pics around, change the background color, make pics smaller or bigger, crop photos (so don't crop them before...waste of time), and add text.

Rainbow Doubles pic 7/1
This is just ONE of my orders for Rainbow, but wanted to let you know that I don't just post the deals, I go out and do them also!
Here is the math for the deal...
8 boxes of cereal $20
2-18 packs of eggs $1.19 each
Loaf of bread $.99
Now my coupons didn't double right away, so I added in a $5 Gift Card. My coupons then doubled.
Subtract $10 for buying 8 boxes of cereal
$1 x 8 man q's for the cereal = $8
$1 x 5 for doubles ...........= $5
Total was $5.37! BUT I count it as .37 as I have that $5 GC...good as cash! :)
Cub Shopping trips for 6/26
The pics below and above represent the "damage" I did in one afternoon of shopping! Total would of been $261.51 and I ended up paying $6.00! First pic I paid $4.71, second pic .69 and the last one .60! A savings of 98%! Did it take some planning...no not really. Again..NO Kmart doubles 7/5
Unless you live in Duluth! I think that there is one other city, but I can't remember the name. I actually called Kmart and complained that we, in the cities, got pushed to the side once again. We need to save also and get some free stuff. So if you are wanting Kmart doubles to happen in the cities again, please give them a call or write to them. MAYBE, just maybe, they will hear our pleas and give it back to us. We haven't had doubles for at LEAST 3 months!

Save more money by printing coupons
You will see to the left of this a box for freebies (good site to check out each day from my page) and below that a box for coupons. If you click on the words "by Coupons.com", a new screen will pop up with all the coupons in an easy view. Click on the ones that you want and print. Now here is the fun part. You can print these a second time if you hit the print button again! You can do this on each computer you own! Even if you think that you may use the coupon at a later date, be sure to print it out. Remember that most Cub Foods stores will take expired coupons by 3 months.
Good Deals at Cub Foods
First one is that you get a 24 pack of water for .99! You just need to print out a coupon from HERE. You can also get free bananas from the same link with a $25 purchase. Just click on the ad and add it to your list. Then you can print them out.
Second one is for the Kraft marshmallow, Nabisco Graham Crackers, and Hershey's 6 pack of chocolate. Buy them for $6.50, but use the Cub Coupon on the back page for $3 off. IF you can find a coupon near the display for either $1 or $3 off, you can use that also. Final price $2.50 or .50 for all three items!
Third one is that you can get a free POUND of grapes with coupon. Now, you don't have to get all the grapes that they have in a bag. I tend to take a plastic bag and put in what I want...as I try to get close to a pound. I am not going to pay $2.49 a pound for the grapes that are over that free pound.
