Free Star Tribune Coupons/ Advertisements

They are going to start (Sept 12th) sending out a FREE edition of just COUPONS / Advertisements (called the Strib express) each Sunday. You need to email them at stribexpress@startribune.com or call them at 612-673-7373 if you are interested.  They will "toss" them in your driveway each Sunday.

This is just for certain zip codes and I know that 55316 is included!  I am hoping that my neighbors will call to have them do this for me!

Remember that  you can still get a deal of $1.25 for the Sunday paper and 2 free Water Park of America passes when you order!  More details HERE.

Thank Kylie for posting this on MCA's Facebook page!

  1. Karen,
I just called and talked to Ann, she said that's only for non-subscribers to get interested in getting the Sunday delivery. :(

  3. Amy..A lady signed me up for the deal. I wonder why she said then that it was for anyone.

It is just for select areas.

  5. I just called about not receiving one when I had "subscribed" to the Strib Express earlier and they said it is only for non-subscribers of the Star Tribune. Darn.

  6. If they ever deliver it to you its a real good deal. I have been on the list to get it for 2 weeks now and both weeks it has not been delivered. The first week they redelivered it to me but the second week they told me that because its free they cant redeliver and can only note the account that it was missed.

  7. Just wanted to post an update to my previous comment about not receiving the paper for 2 weeks. I have been calling every week and have not gotten the paper at all. Every time I call them they say that their system shows that I said no I didnt want it and every week I tell them the story. This is ridiculous however there probably isnt anything I can do since its free. Still going to file a complaint of false advertising though.

  8. In another update to my previous posts I have been working with a contact from the Strib to try to get my non-delivery issues figured out. They delivered out one copy on I believe a Tuesday right away then I got one the following Sunday. After that they stopped arriving again the past 2 weeks. So much for being able to look through the ads to pick out gifts for Christmas. I guess I will just have to look through the stores online ads that provide them and the ones who dont have their ads online I am sorry but I guess the Strib cant figure out a simple delivery issue.

  9. I am calling to have the dumb thing STOPPED! Whoever delivers it in this area of Richfield has left on my driveway, even at the end of it. If I am gone for the weekend (and I usually don't come back to town until Monday p.m.) it is a security issue and I DO NOT want it!!! No number of coupons are worth the risk.

  10. It`s a joke! It took me a yr to get them to deliver it & then I only get 1/2 of the ads & coupons, whereas my neighbor across the street who gets the full edition gets every ad and every coupon insert. They never answer there phone to complaints prob. bcz it`s free & we shouldn`t complain. I left them a mess sunday morn. to either have the service or not. You can`t have it 1/2 way. I LIVE IN RICHFIELD ALSO AND THE GUY IS LAZY. MAYBE I HAVE THE SAME DELIVERY GUY. WHT DOESNT ONE OF US CONTACT CHANNEL 4 "GOOD QUESTION"?

  11. I called the trib today. The reason you don`t get all the ads & coupons reg subscribers get with the full paying sunday paper is, that`s why most sunday papers are sold, just for the ads & coupons. They would lose money. Maybe they should let us all know that before were all crapping in our britches & making 8 phone calls every Sunday wondering where all the ads & coupons are. This offer is very deceiving. What happened to MN nice? As the old saying goes, if it`s to good to be true, it is!!!

  12. I deliver more of these than regular paying subscriber editions on Sunday. What used to take 4.5 hours on Sunday now takes 7. To listen to someone complain about not getting something delivered to them for free is insanity. Yes its a free edition. The idea being to coax former subs/new subscribers into subscribing as well as maintain circulation numbers for advertising revenue. MN nice? The priority on Sundays is paying customers. This is a part time job for me, and ever since the express came out its been nothing but headaches. If I had more than a few of the above posters in my route Id surely quit. If you want the ads pay for them! Its less than the cost of a fast food meal for a month! I would love to grow my subscribers and I think this is a great way to do it. However, having a cap on the number of express issues delivered would be nice so that there arent so many freeloaders making my route unmanageable at the expense of paying customers.

  13. I wouldnt order the things that are free i would order the things that you pay for because if you pay for them they come if your getting it "free" they might come. But either way its not there faults its whoever orders them because they should have patients and not be rude like that!and say there dumb, stupid and stuff like that....If you want it so bad to come by your door everyday like mine does then order it and pay like every normal person does and i promise you will get your news paper. No deliever person wants to work for free they need money too..Ask your self this question "do i wanna work 5 hours free" exactly no one does.Be smart about it.

    2. You are right,no one wants to work for free. On the other hand if a company offers something for free to bring In customer, then you have the responsibility to do what is asked of you.

  14. I subscribed to the scrib express almost one year ago. I received my first paper right away. Since then I have received only one additional paper in almost a year despite having called in 20 (yes, twenty) complaints. Other then lip service it seems that the tribune does not actually have a customer service department.
