My store had the same signage by the deodorants at one location. I went to another location today and there wasn't anything. I asked the cashier to tell me what the price was and she took the one and told me she wouldn't sell it to me. I said, "What?! I want to buy it and I want to know the price." She said said no and to give her the other deodorant. I said no. She grabbed it and stated that they were supposed to be pulled off the shelf last night. I asked why. She told me that people were getting them for better than free and it wasn't right or fair and that corporate said to pull them.

She stated no that walgreens pays for it and refused to sell it to me.
I was like are you telling me that I can't buy two items that I pull off the shelf? She said I couldn't have them. She called the manager before I asked. He didn't know what was going on and didn't know anything about the deal, but he wasn't going to sell it either. I asked if it was their policy to not sell the items that were on their shelf and to take items out of a customers hand and refuse to sell it.
I finally got them to sell it. Cashier and manager stated the the RR are store coupons - contrary to what is written on the paper. I disputed that and said for them to read the back where it says "Manufacturer pays coupon value plus 8 cents handling..." They still insisted it was a store coupon. I disagreed.
Cashier said that the employees want to do away with RR because it's stealing from the employees and the stores are cutting back their hours due to customers getting these deals.
I called corporate immediately.
