Be on the lookout for 3 inserts this weekend. A Smart Source, Redplum, and PG inserts! It will be hard to find the PG, since it doesn't seem to always come in the Saturday early edition. :( The Pioneer Press tends to have all of them, but you will pay $1.00 for that paper.

I just bought 2 issues of Star Tribune at Rainbow Foods, Brooklyn Park and there are no coupon inserts :-(. They don't have the Pioneer Press papers when I was there.

I just bought 3 pioneer press at cub in eden prairie. they had all 3 inserts. the star tribune only had the smart source. all papers were early edition. checked holiday and it was the same there. i always check the papers to be sure they have all the inserts before i buy them. :-)
ReplyDeleteI bought 2 papers in Albertville... Star Trib Early Edition. They had the SS and RP, no P&G.
ReplyDeleteI don't know about you guys, but I'm really tired of not finding the inserts in the Star Trib papers. Saturday, I went to Rainbow in Coon Rapids and I checked several papers and not one insert was in there. I went to SA in Andover and only one paper had a SS and RP in it, the rest were empty. The paper states on the front page that there are "valuable coupons inside". Then on Sunday, CVS in Anoka had all three, so I bought 2, because they are limiting how many you can buy because no one else in the area can seem to carry their papers with the inserts. I then had to go to SA to get my other two papers just to get my inserts. Is that just wrong, or what? I feel I am waisting my gas and my time "hunting" for something that should be in every store. Sorry about the venting, but when they advertise on the front of their papers either "valuable coupons inside" or " up to $350 coupons inside" and there's nothing, they need to hear from us. Here is where to call: 612-673-4343. Press 3 then say "something else" then "customer service rep". A real nice lady answered, I talked to her for a bit, then asked if I could talk to her supervisor. She took my name and number and said Heidi or Adonnis (I think) will call me back today. She did tell me papers are divided up by stores so thats why one store has all and one store has none. Now just who is responsible for this? The store manager? The paper itself? I wont quit until I find out. To be continued...
ReplyDeleteOh, I forgot to say that after I left CVS Sunday, I went accross the street to Walgreens and their papers had NO inserts in them at all. And I am also writing Star Trib an email.
ReplyDeletePam...I was at the Andover Walgreens and I grabbed 4 of their papers. I had to put two back since they didn't have the inserts. It was almost like someone took them out.
ReplyDeleteIt really makes no sense cause you should see the amount of Sunday papers that get thrown away/ recycled each week that have inserts in them.
It's funny, because I also emailed WAG yesterday before lunch and they haven't called me back yet. Dont they always have a manager on duty? They always call me back the same day. I asked them why there were no inserts in their Sunday papers.

ReplyDeleteI just got off the phone with Karolynn at the Trib and heres what she said. She didnt exactly know if a certain location gets priority over another (north/south metro)or not, but home delivery is first, Sunday paper is second, and early sunday paper is third for priority. Papers are filled by machine. The early sunday paper is more popular than the anticipated and she says they are trying to get more inserts but are limited by RP and SS on how many they get. When it says "up to $350 coupons" they are trying to be vague because it could include WAGs coupons. She suggested for all of us to email or call RP and SS and tell them that we need more inserts, that she is more than happy to supply them to us and to buy as many papers as we want. She also said to tell the store managers if the inserts are missing from all the papers (Ive told cashiers before and they just go "oh"). It could be someone is pulling them out, or at distributing one cart may have inserts and one may not, and just so happens the store accross the street doesnt get them (but if it happens on a regular basis, suspect something).
