It's one of the meals the kids can make prepare on their own and each has their own way to make the best "taco". Easy to make, quick and good, what else could you ask for?
ReplyDeleteMy favorite taco night is when we have tacos on one platter and share it picnic style sitting on the living room floor on a big tablecloth! It makes for a great time talking with my husband and children at the end of a very long day! We do the picnic style and call it FUN dinner! Started this in the winter time in Minnesota when we couldnt have a picnic outside! lol posmlodge (at) yahoo (dot) com

We just had taco night last night for my son's birthday. There is nothing special about our tacos but we just have a great time visiting while eating one of our most favorite meals as a family.
ReplyDeleteLSImdieke (at) yahoo (dot) com
Taco night is great, because you can make it your own. (hard or soft shell, with doritos for taco salad etc.) No one has to have it the same way. Everyone in our house loves taco night and thats good when there are 8 people to please. :)

ReplyDeleteWe have Taco Night about every 10 days at our house! I love Mexican food and tacos are quick & easy. My 4 year old usually puts the meat on bite size tortilla chips and tops with a mountain of cheese. He gobbles 'em up! I also put about 1/2 can of refried beans into the meat to stretch it a little further, frugal me!
ReplyDeleteamyanderson (at) edinarealty (dot) com
I save the other 1/2 can of refried beans for the next Taco Night by freezing in a snack size ziplock bag.
ReplyDeleteI like MCA on Facebook and have referred many friends/family!

we have tacos about twice a month here too, and what makes it special is it's easy and everyone likes it, no complaints. and it re-heats great as left overs for lunch the next day.
ReplyDeleteTaco night is a favorite at our house. My favorite part is the look on my kids' face(who are 3 & 5) while they get to make their own tacos just the way they like them!

Love Taco night as my kids will put tomatoes into their tacos (one of the few times I can easily get them to eat vegetables). Once all the prep work is done, is the time to have FUN! We love to make our own "just how we like them" as my 8 year old says "with the special right touch of cheese"....
ReplyDeleteFredacaldwell@netzero.net
My Hubby, daughter and I love tacos. They like the soft shells I like a taco salad. It is so hard not to make it to big though. My boys just eat the soft shells and put black olives on their fingers. on_1211 (at) yahoo (dot) com
ReplyDeleteTaco night is one of my favorites because ALL of the kids will eat them without complaint, which almost never happens in our house

ReplyDeleteThanks!

My favorite part of taco night is when I'm using my homegrown veggies as part of the taco bar set up. Thanks
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of taco night is we cook it together! The kids help cook & serve it! AND it's something our entire family can eat together (2 of my kids have peanut, egg, potatoe & egg allergies) so this is something we can ALL enjoy!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part about Taco night is just getting the family together to eat. I set everything up in a buffet style and everyone loves it.

ReplyDeleteWhen we do taco night we always have around 1 or 2 different types of cheese that the kids have not tried before, that way they try new things and it is kinda fun seeing how different types of cheese can really change the taste of a taco.
ReplyDeleteI am a facebook fan too!
ReplyDeleteTaco night is my families favorite mealtime even for my daughter who doesn't really like tacos. I make everything homemade but sometimes I just have the time and this would help me have taco night for often.

ReplyDeleteTaco night at our house usually includes good friends. We get our kids together to play while the moms make shredded chicken tacos served with all the fixings as well as Archer Farms Roasted Tomatillo Salsa...not too spicy but so delicious!...leahgabrielle30 (at) gmail (dot) com
ReplyDeletefavorite part of taco night is using sauce from taco bell that we snatch whenever we go there (why PAY for taco sauce? take a few extra packets each time you are there and free taco sauce for life!)
ReplyDeleteashleylieske at gmail dot com
What makes taco night special is having taco toppings available to suit every taste. My dh doesn't like overly spicy food, my foster son likes spicy beef with just cheese, and I like avocado, lettuce, tomato, union.
