Target of course has started their holiday clearance and you can use coupons on the items that are on clearance.   For most of the holiday's you can follow the below schedule to know when items go from 50% to 75% to 90%.  Christmas time can be different as each store has the say of when it goes and if the store has too much stuff, they will keep it at the lower % off for a day or two longer.

Target coupon Glitch fixed

Yesterday Star Tribune wrote an article saying that Target fixed the glitch with the register taking off less than the value of the coupon. Now the coupon will take off the full value and give overage!

Though as far as I know, the gift card glitch still hasn't been fixed.
